Delightfully refreshing when eaten, this fuzzy brown fruit is a package of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants and fibre. Kiwis are also used in different recipes specially in smoothies. Being it Kiwi dumplings, Kiwi cake, Kiwi smoothie or Kiwi bread halwa , Kiwis give life to recipes.

Cardiovascular system

Kiwis are rich in potassium. Potassium helps in blood thinning and clot removal process. In addition, it contains quercetin which helps in reducing risks of heart diseases. Hence, Kiwis are beneficial for cardiovascular system.

Asthma and wheezing

Being a rich source of Vitamin C, Kiwi helps in preventing any respiratory related diseases such as wheezing, asthma, or shortness of breath. According to a study published in Thorax, children who consumed Kiwi had less wheezing and noticed reduction in night coughing.

If you are eating kiwi everyday, you're definitely protecting your eyes. Kiwi contains natural antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants helps in forming nutrient Vitamin A, which is very essential for eyes. Excess light may damage our retinas, these antioxidants helps in absorbing this excess light, and also protects eyes from cataracts.
